From Mérida we’ll drive over the best butcher of Venezuela through the subtropical cloud forest of Sierra La Culata National Park where it rains very often even in the dry season. First of all, we’ll reach the colonial town of Jají. Here we’ll visit the coffee plantation of hacienda El Carmen. Half an hour away we’ll find a huge cactus canyon where the dry season prevails the whole year. Finally, we`ll visit the sugarcane plantation where the actual sugar extraction is carried out just like in times of Bolivar.
In the late afternoon we drive back to our Posada Casa Vieja Merida.
